Some Aspects of the Qualitative Theory of Linear Hamiltonian Systems
From Preface
This work is a collection of my papers which have been submitted and/or
accepted for publication in mathematical journals. The connecting phrase
between them is -- linear Hamiltonian systems. Each of Chapter 2-6 is a
separate paper (without references). The list of references is provided
for all papers together after Chapter 6. In Chapter 1 we give a brief
overview of the present research in the area of discrete, continuous and
general (on time scales) linear Hamiltonian systems compiled from the
literature.
Chapter 2: Disconjugacy of symplectic systems
and positive definiteness of block tridiagonal matrices
Chapter 3: Linear Hamiltonian
difference systems: transformations, recessive solutions, generalized
reciprocity
Chapter 4: Linear Hamiltonian systems on
time scales: positivity of quadratic functionals
Chapter 5: Inhomogeneous quadratic functionals
on time scales
Chapter 6: Linear Hamiltonian systems on
time scales: transformations
